Fullness of life for all.
To pursue fullness of life for every person, with special concern for the poor and the marginalised.
A community shaped by faith, thoughtful teaching and respectful relationships.
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo was founded by Fr. Adrien Bresy in 1684 in Wez, Belgium, and established in India in 1928 by Mother Josphine Allard, extending to Argentina, Poland, Italy, Mexico and Tanzania. St. Charles School Mbeya was established on 23rd January 2017 by the Sisters, open to girls and boys of the locality, offering quality education for integration from kindergarten to Standard VII.
The management holds at heart the spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional and physical development of pupils, believing character formation matters no less than academic learning.
St. Charles Borromeo Pre & Primary School was established on 23 January 2017 by the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo. Serving girls and boys in Mbeya, the school provides an integrated education from pre-primary through Standard VII, with the development of the whole child at the centre of school life.
The wider educational heritage of the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo traces to the Congregation founded by Fr. Adrien Bresy in 1684 in Wez, Belgium. That tradition grew from a commitment to extend education, dignity and opportunity to people who were poor or marginalised, and continues through the Congregation’s educational mission in Tanzania and beyond.
The school’s official direction places academic learning alongside character, faith, emotional maturity, responsibility and service.
To pursue fullness of life for every person, with special concern for the poor and the marginalised.
To continue the mission of Jesus Christ through an education that forms the whole person - intellectually, spiritually, morally, emotionally and socially.
To develop students in every dimension so they grow with a balanced, holistic outlook and are prepared for responsible life and service.
We nurture respect for human dignity, justice and equality, grounded in the belief that every person deserves respect and opportunity.
Learning develops informed minds, balanced emotions, spiritual depth and the capacity to participate responsibly in society.
Spiritual, moral, academic and aesthetic formation is strengthened by integrity, honesty, loyalty and courtesy.
Students are prepared to use their knowledge and talents for the good of others, their communities and the wider society.
The emblem of the Congregation and its motto, Faith, Toil, Progress, characterize the school. The Sisters, faithful to their motto, live by faith, are constantly at work, and are urged on by an ardent desire for the progress of society — forming pupils who are intellectually informed, emotionally balanced and spiritually oriented.
Catechism and moral science classes, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and monthly Eucharistic celebration anchor school life.
